MJC OC

Today is Meridian Junior College's Official Opening Ceremony. Choir is performing for both Act 1 and 4 in the mini-concert. Well…Today’s performance ended with a high note. It was like the best of all the many rehearsals we have had. As Miss Lai predicted, the choir and all the other performers will rise up to the occasion.

Well…I enjoyed myself tonight (performing)! After many weeks of grueling rehearsals, the concert is finally over. *haha Mr Kwei arranged the School Anthem for the choir somewhere in Nov. We learnt the song in about two to three practices and hah! We left the score to rot somewhere. *haha We did a recording for the anthem and decided to use it for OC but the idea was scrapped in the end. We decided to sing it live!

Well…the tiring part of the rehearsals began when the choir met Jeremiah. He was the choreographer for the performance. Well…he whipped up some moves for the choir for both Act 1 and the finale. However, there were many changes made to the dance moves before everything was finalized. Initially, the choir wanted to try something more happening, but it affected the singing so…the movements were made the same with that of the finale.

Oh…the choir was also suppose to learn a new version of the school song (yes…a new score). It is now a combined performance with the band. Fun fun fun!

Through the many rehearsals we had, I realized many things. Firstly, my impression of certain people is going from bad to worst. Secondly, I find that some people in choir are rather brave as to speak their own minds. Thirdly, I do not understand what is so wrong with guys putting make-up. Well…I think I look very pretty with make-up on. *haha Oh…Joy said that if I looked prettier than her, she would like me and we will become lesbo partners. Lastly, I think Miss Lai is nice! (she commended me …haha)

Anyways, I love to hear the applause coming from the audience. *woo-hoo

That’s all for now. Till next time,
kY out!
